Central Data Storage was started in 2008 in partnership with an x-ray software customer who was experiencing computer issues. Our Founder, Ed Conklin, realized the data backup and recovery industry was dominated by large, inefficient programs and cloud providers with poor customer service.
With a mission to ease the burden of data recovery for customers, Ed provided the direction, vision and foresight to create UnisonBDR, our backup and recovery solution. The software was built specifically to protect business and personal data and to provide seamless disaster recovery, quickly. Our number one goal is to reduce downtime for you.

CEO & Founder
Ed Conklin is CEO and Founder at Central Data Storage, responsible for driving the business growth strategy and using his extensive medical data management experience to anticipate clients' needs. Team management is a big focus of his role as well as moving the company forward through his leadership and vision. Before Central Data Storage, Ed held multiple business growth strategy and planning positions while working for Fortune 500 companies, Ryder Systems and ThermoKing, before starting his own entrepreneurial ventures. Ed's education at Ohio State University, University of Nebraska, University of Akron and Kent State has helped guide his management principles and ethics.
CFO
Mike is Central Data Storage’s Chief Financial Officer. He has over 20 years experience within finance and operations for established businesses and emerging technology companies, creating strategies and implementing operations that drive growth, increase efficiency and deliver profitability. Mike has a Master’s Degree in Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Business Management.
